Xiaomi Mi WiFi Mesh Topology Router unveiled with support for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks

Today, Xiaomi has unveiled its its new mesh topology router, a new router that arrives ready to make us forget the main problems of WiFi coverage in our home. Specifically, Xiaomi Mi WiFi Mesh is made up of a set of two devices that, when interconnected together, allow us to encompass a larger area while maintaining the same local network.
WiFi Mesh , is a new technology that under the also known name “Wiped Network Wi-Fi” allows to connect several routers creating a joint WiFi network . In this way, even if several routers are connected, we have a single network capable of covering a much larger area than usual.

Xiaomi Mi WiFi Mesh Features

The new Xiaomi router comes wide, that is, each pack has two devices that allow to be connected to each other. In the same way, this new router allows its extension by interconnecting another pair of devices , getting to house a much wider area of ​​WiFi coverage.

As usual in the Mi range, Xiaomi Mi WiFi Mesh arrives with a minimalist design and a white finish . In turn, it has three Ethernet sockets and a power outlet. In its front we can find a physical button for its on and off that also has an LED that tells us the current state of the device.

Xiaomi Mi WiFi Mesh has dual band support for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks , reaching by a combination of several WAN networks a theoretical speed of up to 2,567 Mbps . In addition, as is usual in these network devices, this new router is fully configurable from the Mi WiFi application of Xiaomi.

Price and Availability

For now, the new router Xiaomi Mi WiFi Mesh will only be available through a round of beta testingi. Similarly, its price is not yet known, although everything indicates that it will become one of the company’s most expensive routers.
